Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains the browser technologies used by Casino Vancouver Hotel and how you control them. Although privacy banners often use the word cookies as a general label, our own scripts use localStorage rather than setting cookies. The distinction matters because the preferences stay in your browser and are not automatically sent with each page request. Read the Privacy Policy for the wider information-handling context.

Understanding Cookies
A cookie is a small value that a website can ask a browser to retain and send back under defined conditions. Cookies may support essential functions or optional measurement and advertising. Local storage is a different browser facility: scripts can save and retrieve values for the same website origin. Both can remember choices, so we describe our actual storage rather than suggesting that every common category is installed.

How Browser Storage Works
Your browser keeps this site’s local storage separately from other website origins. Our scripts read it when a page opens to determine whether you have confirmed your age and selected privacy preferences. A different browser, private window or device may not have those values and can therefore show the questions again. Browser settings may block storage; when that happens, the current page remains usable but your choices may not persist.

Necessary Technologies
The website uses the key cvh-age to remember an affirmative adult-age response and cvh-consent to remember category choices and a timestamp. These functions prevent repeated entry questions and support your control over optional content. They do not contain your name, email address, contact message or a gambling history. The page does not require an account, shopping basket, payment session or reservation cookie because those services are not provided here.

Functional Preferences
Functional consent permits Google Maps on the hotel pages. Until it is granted, the page displays a map introduction and a button without opening a connection to Google. Allowing the category loads available map frames, and the map-specific button also enables this category. You can withdraw permission through Cookie Settings. The site then removes map frames, although information already received by Google remains subject to Google’s own policies.

Analytics Technologies
No analytics product, audience-measurement script or behaviour-recording tool is installed on this website. The Analytics switch records your category preference only and does not begin measurement. Basic technical processing required to deliver a website should not be confused with an installed analytics service. If optional measurement is introduced in a later version, its purpose and controls should be explained before it is activated.
07 /
Marketing Technologies
No advertising pixel, remarketing tag or cross-site marketing service is installed. The Marketing switch can be changed and saved, but currently has no advertising technology to activate. Your choice does not subscribe you to messages or create a marketing profile. Following a link to another website is a separate action, and the destination’s own privacy and cookie controls will apply there.
08 /
Age Verification
The entry question asks whether you are at least 19 years old. An affirmative response is stored as cvh-age with the value confirmed. It has no automatic expiry in our scripts and remains until browser data is cleared or the browser removes it. We do not save a date of birth, document number or negative age response. Visitors who decline remain behind the entry screen with a neutral message.

Cookie Consent Storage
The cvh-consent record contains essential, functional, analytics and marketing selections together with the time they were saved. Essential remains enabled. The record is accepted for 180 days; after that period the site removes it and asks again. Saving a new choice restarts this period. The timestamp supports expiry checking and is not used to follow your browsing activity across pages or websites.

Google Maps and Embedded Content
Google Maps is the only optional embedded provider included in these pages. When enabled, an iframe loads a map query for the relevant hotel address. Google may receive your IP address, browser details and other information associated with the connection, and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. We do not specify or control the names and lifetimes of Google’s storage items. You can use the separate directions link instead if you prefer to choose when to visit Google.

Third-Party Technologies
Official hotel links, telephone links and email links are ordinary links rather than background tracking integrations. Opening them may start another website or application with its own handling of information. Fonts, website scripts and the twelve editorial images are served with the site rather than requested from a remote font or image service. Your browser and hosting infrastructure still perform the normal technical work needed to deliver pages.

Storage Duration
The table below identifies the storage used by this version of the website. Local storage can be removed earlier by you, your browser or device maintenance settings. Third-party durations are controlled by the external provider and may change. Temporary contact-form entries exist in the page only; they are not written to local storage and are cleared when the acknowledgement window closes. Closing a page also ends its ordinary in-memory state.
| Cookie Category | Purpose | Required | Storage Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Age confirmation: cvh-age | Yes | localStorage | Until cleared |
| Essential | Consent preferences: cvh-consent | Yes | localStorage | 180 days |
| Functional | Optional Google Maps | No | Provider-controlled technologies after consent | Determined by Google |
| Analytics | Preference only; no service installed | No | Within cvh-consent | 180 days |
| Marketing | Preference only; no service installed | No | Within cvh-consent | 180 days |

Managing Preferences
Use Cookie Settings in any footer to reopen the preference window. Adjust the optional switches and choose Save My Settings. Accept All enables all optional category preferences, while Essential Only leaves them disabled. Neither choice installs a service that is absent from the site. If you withdraw functional permission, maps are removed immediately. You can reopen the controls as often as needed without supplying personal details.
14 /
Browser Controls
Most browsers allow you to inspect or remove stored site data through privacy settings. Clearing this website’s data removes the age confirmation and saved consent, so the entry question and banner can return. Blocking all storage may mean preferences cannot survive navigation. Private browsing often discards values when the private session ends. For precise steps, consult the help information for your browser and device version.
15 /
Policy Updates
We may update this policy when the website’s storage or embedded content changes. The update date helps you identify the current text. A later addition of analytics or advertising would need its own accurate description and appropriate controls; the category switches alone do not imply such services are present today. Review this page when you want to understand what a new website feature does.
